The National Football League today launches ‘Her Huddle’ – a UK-based Instagram Live and YouTube show dedicated to celebrating the rise in female fandom of the NFL and the inspirational women around the sport.
Presented by Sky Sports’ Hannah Wilkes, Her Huddle kicks off with NFL Network and Good Morning Football presenter Kay Adams exploring her love for the sport, her rise through the NFL ranks and her Fantasy Football expertise.
With female fans making up 38% of the NFL’s UK fan-base, the live interactive show looks to celebrate the successful women within the game from the US and UK, while giving fans a unique insight to their lives with a live Q and A session.
In addition to launching a new show for women, NFL UK has also highlighted its commitment to its growing female fanbase by joining forces with Missguided to release a new female-only fashion range. The original collection inspired by New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers includes varsity jackets, graphic joggers, oversized tees, mini dresses, cycling shorts and cropped jersey t-shirts among others.
The 2021 NFL season will see a record 12 women in coaching positions within teams. From the field to the boardroom, women within the NFL are marking their mark with 38.2% of league office roles in 2020 being held by women – an all-time high that can be partly attributed to the work NFL Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Sam Rapoport has done with the NFL’s Women’s Careers in Football Forum.
The pilot episode of Her Huddle with Kay Adams kicks off on Instagram tonight, Tuesday, September 7, at 8:10pm BST and will also be available on the NFL UK YouTube channel.
